Best Places to Visit During Quarantine

Hello, hello, hello!

It's been a while, but just like a character on your favorite soap opera I am bringing the blog back to life. A lot has happened in the last year. I spent some time in Connecticut, lived in 3 different apartments in as many months, went on a mini national tour, and finally made a permanent home in NYC after almost 3 years of bouncing from contract to contract. However, those stories are for another time and I can't wait to share them with you.

Today I felt like writing a ridiculous post so I did. I hope it bring you smiles.

Xo, B

If you haven't heard, for the past two-and-a-half months THE GLOBE has been dealing with annoying little virus literally out to kill us. You might think this can put a damper on your adventurous instagram-able life, but it doesn't have to! Below I have listed the best places to visit while you are in quarantine:

1. Your Bed

This exotic place is THE place to be right now. It has everything: luscious comfort, big play area, places to keep snacks, and best of all, if you're in quarantine without a partner (like most of the population in their late twenties right now) you get the entire space to yourself! Silver linings, kid. It is the #1 spot to visit right now, according to all the instagram stories I've been seeing. Now is the time to get that full 9 hours guilt-free, honey!

2. Your Bathroom

Listen, we all have needs. There is nothing wrong with needing to visit the necessaries, and if you're not working right now: having good hygiene is your essential job. In your bathroom you can create a spa with a delicious bubble bath, your man can shave his head, and women can shave their mustaches (it's been over 60 days in quarantine, be honest: you have a 2 o'clock shadow).

3. The Kitchen

All roads lead to food, ammirite? And if you say that I'm wrong, then I think it's time to check priorities... your's, not mine. The kitchen has everything: Food, Food, Food, and MORE FOOD. Who could ask for anything more?

4. Your Backyard/Patio

Everyone quarantining in New York City has no idea what that extra space feels like anymore, and we're totally jealous so if you have one please use it and keep us in your prayers.... and if you do have a backyard, invite me over sometime :D

5. Your Humanity

I hope everyone spends this time being gentle and patient. Gentle and patient with our nation, our communities, our friends, our families, and most importantly, ourselves. This is a very scary time, mostly because we don't know when the uncertainty will come to an end. Could it be in a few months or last into next year? It feels like our lives being put on hold and time and memories and experiences are being taken away from us. We all miss going out to eat and having a grill out with our friends over a holiday weekend, but remember that is ALL of us. You are not alone in your wants. We're all dealing with different struggles right now. For some of us, we don't know what to do with our day-to-day because our job is considered non-essential, and some of us still cannot get unemployment to call us back. Some are dealing with heartbreak and some are dealing with missing significant others because they don't want to risk passing the virus.

Everyone is struggling right now, so it's okay if you have a bad day or week. The sun'll come out tomorrow (someday) and we'll all be ready for it when it does <3
